Now I am nearing my manuscript submission, I am getting a bit paranoid. I have been thinking about copyrights. Not so much about people stealing my work, but if my idea is actually original.
Here’s what we say about it at AuthorHouse:
Registration
Library of Congress
- The Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN) is a serially based system of numbering and cataloging records in the United States Library of Congress. A Library of Congress Control Number lets you sell to more than 5,000 U.S. libraries.
US Copyright
- AuthorHouse can help protect your work by registering your copyright with the U.S. Copyright Office.
I will definitely be doing this for my book, but I also did a search to see if my paranoia is founded.
I did a Google search for my book’s title. I found one match. Its not another book title, but it is a chapter title within another book.
I am going to investigate what I need to do about it and let you.
